Question & Answers
How To Consign

Q: What is the first step in consigning?
A: All consigned items must be pre-approved by email or in person. Please email photos to sales@fullhouseconsign.com

Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: We recommend you call ahead to ensure someone is here to approve your consignment.

Q: Can I price my own items?
A: We suggest a price for your item.  When setting the initial selling price we consider the item’s age, original purchase price, quality, condition, style, and its current market value. We view each consignment as a partnership. It is in everyone's interest to price items at a fair market value that would sell within six weeks. Prices must be agreed upon between the consignor and Fullhouse within 48 hrs of receiving goods, if not, Fullhouse will determine the selling price.

Q: What is the consignment period and payout %?
A: We advertise, merchandise and actively sell your item(s) for a period of 9 weeks. You will receive a minimum 50% payout of the final selling price, less applicable fees.
Fees may include:
-Admin fee: $ 2/item
-Early contract cancellation fee: $100/item
-Home visit: $20/hr.
-Consignor registration (one-time) $ 5
-Credit card surcharge fee 3%

Q: Can I set a minimum selling price?
A: No. You can pick up your item at anytime if you feel the price is too low, however you'll be subject to a $100 early contract cancellation fee.

Q: What is the price discount procedure?
A: Our floor prices are FIRM for 4-6 weeks. If the item remains unsold after this time the price is then reduced by 20-30% and then further reduced if necessary by 20%.

Q: Do you buy items outright?
A: Yes, we purchase ONLY vintage, mid- modern, retro furnishings, decor and tableware items from the 50's thru to early 70's.

Q: Can you repair or refinish an item for consignment?
A: We DO NOT offer on-site repair services, but can refer you to third party cleaning, refinishing, or upholstery services. Everything is sold in an "AS IS", "WHERE IS" condition. All items are priced to reflect the item's condition. It is to your benefit to enhance the overall look of your items before consigning.

Q: Will you arrange for pick-up from my home?
A: Cartage of consignments to and from the showroom is the responsibility of the consignor. We offer reliable and affordable delivery services. Call us: 604.733.7789

Q: What happens if my item remains unsold and the contract has expired?
A: The consignor will often be notified by phone or email to remove their items from the store. Items will be held for five (5) days after notification, unless prior arrangements are made. Pick up charges are the responsibility of the consignor. Unclaimed items will become the property of Fullhouse and will be disposed of at the sole discretion of the store.

Q: When do you pay consignors?
A: Cheques are mailed after the first 14 days of the month following the sale of the item. We do not call you when the items sell. You may phone or drop by for your account balance.  We suggest you phone no more than once every three weeks.
